Smart Anything Everywhere

Cyber-Physical Systems Engineering Labs is part of the Smart Anything Everywhere initiative.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 644400.

Our design centres

CPSE Labs consists of six design centres, located in five European countries. Here you can find information on each of them.

What is a design centre?

Each design centre is a research lab offering specialist expertise in aspects of cyber-physical system engineering. Each CPSE Labs design centre draws on the experience and skill of one or two top European research centres.

Each CPSE Labs design centre supports specific technology platforms. Each of our funded experiments is partnered with and closely supported by the relevant design centre throughout the experiment.

You can browse through our design centres here, checking the technologies, experience and platforms each design centre offers.

CPSE Labs France

Our French design centre is headquartered in Toulouse, offering expertise in robotic software architectures, safety assessments, artificial intelligence, dynamic reconfiguration and single-chip cloud computing.

Newcastle upon Tyne

Our UK design centre is based at Newcastle Unviersity, where researchers specialise in model-based design for dependable cyber-physical systems, embedded systems and systems of systems.

CPSE Labs Germany South

CPSE Labs Germany South is located at fortiss in Munich, a cyber-physical systems research institute with a focus on the automotive industry, industrial automation, smart energy and future public administration.

CPSE Labs Spain

CPSE Labs Spain is located in Madrid, hosted by Technical University of Madrid (UPM) in conjunction with Indra Sistemas, specialising in cyber-physical systems for smart cities.

CPSE Labs Germany North

Hosted at the OFFIS Institute in Oldenburg, our Germany North design centre focuses on Critical Maritime Systems Engineering, specialising in hardware and software co-design, model-based safety and systems with situational awareness.

CPSE Labs Sweden

CPSE Labs design centre Sweden is based at KTH in Stockholm, offering expertise in autonomous and connected machines that build upon the KTH Integrated Transport Research Lab Vehicle Platform.
