4DIAC co-ordinates complex inputs and outputs for robotics (Profactor)

Profactor is located in Steyr, Austria and is Austrian's No. 1 in applied production research. As a private research company, it performs applied research across different disciplines to find solutions for the manufacturing industry. The Profactor case study employed the 4DIAC platform on a robotic arm application.

The AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology) is Austria's largest non-university research institute, and among the European research institutes a specialist in the key infrastructure issues of the future. In this case study AIT examined the use of the 4DIAC platform in a smart grid laboratory.

Demonstrating the real-time capabilities of 4DIAC (ACIN)

Vienna University of Technology - Automation and Control Institute (ACIN) performs research and education in the fields of distributed automation and control systems, as well as precision engineering, scientific instrumentation and process-measurement systems with focus on industrial relevant applications for industrial automation, production, and measurement systems. The ACIN case study allowed the Vienna Institute of Technology's Automation and Control Institute to demonstrate the real time capability of the 4DIAC platform.

Chess is a company based in the Netherlands which delivers embedded systems products and design services to a variety of clients. In a case study to evaluate the Crescendo platform, Chess designed and developed the ChessWay personal transporter vehicle, making use of the collaborative simulation features of the Crescendo tool.

SOFIA2 provides platforms for varied smart health and digital home welfare systems (Galician Health Services)

SOFIA2 has been used to create a variety of systems with various applications for the health sector; a selection of examples are described here. For example, SOFIA2 was used to to build a smart health system to track data from a variety of health monitoring devices for the Galician Health Services. SOFIA2 was also used to develop a system for locating patients in the National Hospital for Paraplegic People in Toledo, Spain. A smart health demonstrator system has also been created.
